Living the Good Life with Composite

The original deck in this location was really starting to show its age, and wasn’t quite large enough to entertain guests. With the old deck removed, it was time for us to get busy.

This deck was built using Fiberon decking that we purchased locally through Tamar Building Products. At the homeowners request, we used what’s known as ‘The Herringbone’ pattern to lay our deck boards. This took quite some time, but in the end, it turned out looking amazing.

The last step was installing the Fiberon railing system. And, to really seal the deal, we installed post caps with built in LED lighting that turns on automatically at dusk. This deck really did turn out great, and will last for decades to come.
